(un)Consciousness

i have read this over and over again and from Byron Katie too of loving what is and ako naman basta may bago shoot agad.  o kaya try out agad.  i would say life lately has been pretty well just by simply changing my perspective in every thing life is presenting me at the very moment.  indeed, when you let your mind the working of past and future, you will forget to savor the present.  when i am so caught up with what will happen tomorrow, i tend to miss the gifts of the things that's happening right under my nose.  we live one day at a time.  we cannot live tomorrow by living it today.  and this line here is sooooo true: "the greater part of any unhappiness in you is created not by situations, but by what your mind is saying about them. It's created by the self-talk in your head."

so you want to be happy? be happy.  stop the self-talking and love the things as they show up not as you see it.  this is what Byron Katie means to love and accept what is  because we cannot change it by arguing with it.  we move on with life changing the way we want things to be and if they're not happening as we deem it to be, love it anyway.  ;) sabi nga nya: what is so is what is so and you cannot argue with it.  hahaahahaha way to go for me to live that consciously in my daily life too but it pays to be re-minded.  mind again.

The philosopher Epictetus(AD55-135) wrote:
"People are not disturbed by things, but by the view they take of things."
If you look closely, you will find that by far the greater part of any unhappiness in you is created not by situations, but by what your mind is saying about them. It's created by the self-talk in your head. Such dysfunctional thinking strengthens the ego, but it weakens you. How to end it? Meet situations and people without judgment. Don't indulge in mental movies about past and future. Give your fullest attention to the present moment without mentally labeling it. This is the arising of Presence, a new state of consciousness that frees your mind from its old conditioning. This new consciousness will give rise to a new world.

Love is a good Karma

Just inspired to collect thoughts on love today and here are quite good re-minders ;)  It's a happy Saturday coming out of a nice event that i attended on last night with CICM's 150 years celebration.  It was such a blast!  Bumaha ng pagkain at musika lalo na si Utleg from Baguio.  Here he is:

He even sang No Woman No Cry just we were leaving. Awwwww so sweet.  The line still rings on my head: "Everything's gonna be alright." In deed messages abound when you need to hear it just in time.ü

All fear (and that which derives from it, such as anger, hatred, and violence) is a distorted form of love.

All expressions of anger and fear, hatred and violence are distorted wailings of Love. Remember that. For the rest of your life, remember that.  The person who grasps this, grasps at the edges of Divinity.

No victim, no guilt. Love is a guiltless place to live.

The love you give to others is a gift that keeps on returning. Every kind word, tender kiss and strong arm to learn on, is loaded with good karma. Be patient and trust that the love you give will find its way back to you, with interest. Believe that you are worth the wait. You are loveable; ready, willing and able to love and be loved.
