ikot-ikot sa Baguio

and the Baguio saga continues.... ;)

Much as we wanted to just stay in the comfort of our presidential suite in Baguio Country Club, we wanted to also check out what's new in the city.  As for me, my last time in Baguio is i guess 2000 pa. ;(  So it's been a while.  Let's go check out the city ;)

first time ko sa Pink Sisters Convent

Session Road on a rainy day

forgot the name of this resto but cheap food and tastes good.  along Session Road

 Pag-ikot sa Baguio Market.

This time may listahan talaga ako kung ano ang mga bagay na dapat kong gawin.   At least halos na crossed out ko naman lahat except sa pagpunta at panonood ng PMA cadets at on closed renovation na lokal na kainan.  I had especially great moments along Session Road.

Baguio Country Club

Last August 2012, i got so lucky to stay in this members only hotel.  One of our friends is a member and is entitled to a discounted room so we took the offer and stayed there.  Luxury hotel it was.  Feels like a queen. hahahaha

Ang alam ko lang ang swerte ko to be pampered and to have stayed in this exclusive hotel.  Sarap ng mga breads nila and perfect place sya to stay away from the city.  I would definitely go back whenever there's another chance ;)

Atelier sa San Jose

Last 2012, i was with the team of Rotarians from RC Canterbury doing mission in the whole of Antique.  One of the places i went to is the Antique Atelier proudly managed by the group of Persons with Disabilities co-funded by the Local Government Unit.  Quality wise their products are really good.

Here are a few pics:

RORO at Dumangas

It's been a while (like barely 2 months) since my last travel in Dumangas.  RORO via Dumangas is my usual route going home to Kalibo, Aklan.  Noticed a few changes and it's developing fast compared to the very rough and dusty roads since my first trip a few years back.  Here's some pictures to tell:

approaching Dumangas port

caught that elusive starting moon

a RORO just took off to Bacolod
nicer road

serenity and greenery along the way

complete paved road that leads to Dumangas hi-way

crossroads that will take you to Iloilo City proper (left) and Dumangas proper (right)

basketball any where

ongoing road construction

recently finished paved road

The day will come that there will be no more rough roads going to Dumangas but a nice and paved ones.  Fast and hassle-free travel too.  RORO schedule is also 24 hours now and there are always 'habal-habal' and tricycle to take you in any time of the day or night.

On this trip i brought along a bike and it's for free.  Isn't that such a luxury? ;)  So let's travel the RORO way.  It's cheap and it's fun.ü
