Cena típica Española

Hola!  O di ba Español na Espanyol ;)  was working late as usual last night when a colleague of mine called to have dinner out.  Tada!  Napadpad sa Art District sa Mandalagan, Bacolod City.  Looked out for some new place to discover and try.  At the back of my mind i'm looking for the Spanish resto which i read a month ago on the food blog and when a guy pointed us which direction and saw the name Txacho i confirmed it as it is.  Met the guapo owner chef and the boss decided it must be authentic Spanish cuisine so we settled.  It was all the chef's recommendation that we took and i liked this sangria (wine punch with diced fruits) for a start.  Siempre gusto ko na namang iuwi ang mixer na ito (spoon and fork in one). hahaahahha

this pitcher of sangria alone costs something like over P300 bucks but was worth it

House special kuno ang txistorra (sausage) and i'm not a fan of sausages except maybe for a Hungarian and Wiennerle but it was not bad when i tasted it.
aliw lang ako sa garlic.  may bagong idea ;)

Siempre kung may patatas hindi pwedeng di matikman. Paborito kaya.ü  Winner ito for me kasi a bit spicy and really tasted good.
patatas bravas

We also tried callos and the usual gambas but one thing i've noticed most of the recipes are swimming in oil!  Well, it's olive oil and healthy but still just too much oil. ;(  Callos was so soft and gambas was good but won't have it again.  For the price i found the serving size as small baka pwedeng damihan ng konti? i wish! ;)

Another winner for me would be this stuffed piquillo peppers.  Yummy! ü  Pero naumay ako sa croquetas.

Just tried it to taste the difference but i didn't like it.  I just had a bite.  Anything that smells fishy i kinda don't like.

This baguette was just perfect to clean out your plate.

It was a good Spanish night for us all and we all looked sated.ü
